Open Thread://

RD2 PK33: Jaguars / CB Tyson Campbell

RD2 PK34: Jets / WR Elijah Moore

RD2 PK35: Trade / Broncos get pick from Falcons / RB Javonte Williams – beast, excited to see him match with Lock.

RD2 PK36: Dolphins / S Jevon Holland

RD2 PK37: Eagles / C/G Landon Dickerson – another beast inside I would be worried about his injury history though

RD2 PK38: Trade / Patriots get pick from the Bengals / DT Christian Barmore – I would have picked him if he had dropped to me. First round grade on this guy.

RD2 PK39: Trade / Bears trade up with Panthers / OT Tevin Jenkins

RD2 PK40: Falcons / S Richie Grant

RD2 PK41: Lions / DT Levi Onwuzurike

RD2 PK42: Miami / OT Liam Eichenberg

RD2 PK43: Me / OT Samuel Cosmi – don’t want to miss out on an athletic tackle who could develop in the my scheme.

IRL RD2 PK43: Trade / Raiders trade up with 49ers / S Trevon Moerig

RD2 PK44: Cowboys / CB Kelvin Joseph

RD2 PK45: Jaguars / OT Walker Little – interesting player, I just wasn’t sure about selecting him.

RD2 PK46: Me / OT Dillon Radunz – taking a bit of a gamble here, I still have to fill CB, but doubling down on the OTs that I like is too enticing.

IRL RD2 PK46: Bengals / OT Jackson Carman

RD2 PK47: Chargers / DB Asante Samuel Jr

RD2 PK48: 49ers / G Aaron Banks

RD2 PK49: Cardinals / WR Rondale Moore

RD2 PK50: Giants / OLB Azeez Ojulari

RD2 PK51: Washington / OT Samuel Cosmi – my guy goes off the board IRL

RD2 PK52: Trade / Browns trade up with Panthers / LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah – My second pick from the first round finally goes off the board. I can only imagine he dropped because of his size.

RD2 PK53: Titans / OT Dillon Radunz – My second tackle goes off the board to the Titans.

RD2 PK54: Colts / DE Dayo Odeyingbo

RD2 PK55: Steelers / TE Pat Freiermuth – great talent and I would have wanted him in the 3rd round. I like his mental side and attitude.

RD2 PK56: Seahawks / WR D’Wayne Eskridge – interesting pick. Thick legged speedy receiver.

RD2 PK57: Rams / WR Tutu Atwell

RD2 PK58: Chiefs / LB Nick Bolton

RD2 PK59: Panthers / WR Terrace Marshall Jr

RD2 PK60: Trade / I trade up with the Saints / DE Carlos Basham Jrfantastic DE and I give up my 74th and 90th overall picks. Do not want to miss on him and he is too similar to Davenport, that the Saints might pick him.

IRL RD 2 PK60: Bills / Fred Werner – ok so they didn’t.

RD2 PK61: Bills / DE Carlos Basham Jr – Interestingly he goes one spot later, maybe they see Basham in a similar role to me: a more athletic Quinton Jefferson.

RD2 PK62: Packers / C Josh Meyers

RD2 PK63: Chiefs / C Creed Humphrey

RD2 PK64: Buccaneers / QB Kyle Trask

Round 3

RD3 PK65: Me / OG Quinn Meinerz – This guy is just too much fun I have to have him in my squad.

IRL RD3 PK65: Jaguars / S Andre Cisco

RD3 PK66: Vikings / QB Kellen Mond – QBs are starting to fly off the board. Thought they might have gone OL.

RD3 PK67: Texans / QB Davis Mills – So interesting…what will happen with Watson. This is literally their first pick of the draft.

RD3 PK68: Falcons / OT Jalen Mayfield

RD3 PK69: Me / CB Benjamin St-Juste – there are a couple of interesting CBs left on the board, but St-Juste just has the extraordinary physical tools I want in a CB.

IRL RD3 PK69: Bengals / LB Joseph Ossai

// At this point it is almost 4am here, I have made my picks and I am extremely happy. I’m going to sign off for bed now and tomorrow I will watch the end of Day 2 as well as preparing for day 3.

//Good morning, I’m back and fresh ready to watch the rest of round 3 before preparing for Day 3.

RD3 PK70: Panthers / OT Brady Christensen – A tackle I really like and I fear that he may end up being better than expected. I hope I made the right choices at Tackle.

RD3 PK71: Giants / CB Aaron Bobinson – Another interesting player who I considered, but I feel like he is more of an inside/slot corner and thats not what I needed.

RD3 PK72: Lions / DT Alim McNeill – My guys are flying off the board now! this is a big powerful guy inside.

RD3 PK73: Eagles / DE Milton Williams

RD3 PK74: Washington / DB Benjamin St Juste – my guy goes off the board. So happy that I got him 5 picks earlier.

RD3 PK75: Cowboys / DT Osa Adighizuwa – another one of my guys, loved his wrestling background and long arms.

RD3 PK76: Trade / Saints trade up with the Broncos / DB Paulson Adebo

RD3 PK77: Chargers / WR Josh Palmer – loved this guy at the senior bowl. was a target of mine for round 4.

RD3 PK78: Vikings / LB Chazz Surratt

RD3 PK79: Raiders / EDGE Malcolm Koonce

RD3 PK80: Raiders / DB Devine Diablo

RD3 PK81: Dolphins / TE Hunter Long – getting bigger in the receiving game. they have an intriguing unit coming together.

RD3 PK82: Washington / WR Dyami Brown – another one of my WR targets goes off the board.

RD3 PK83: Panthers / TE Tommy Tremble – another one of my guys, beast and similarities to Kittle.

RD3 PK86: Vikings / G Wyatt Davis – another one of my guys goes off the board.

RD3 PK87: Steelers / G Kendrick Green – another one of my iOL guys – explosive

RD3 PK88: Trade / 49ers trade up with the Rams / RB Trey Sermon – surprised he dropped so far. Really liked him in the College playoffs.

RD3 PK89: Trade / Texans trade up with the Panthers / WR Nico Collins

RD3 PK90: Vikings / EDGE Patrick Jones II

RD3 PK91: Browns / WR Anthony Schwartz

RD3 PK92: Titans / LB Monty Rice

RD3 PK96: Patriots / DE Ronnie Perkins – another guy I really liked, good value pick.

RD3 PK97: Chargers / TE Tre McKitty

RD3 PK98: Broncos / G Quinn Meinerz – My guy! Senior Bowl beast and he goes to the broncos to line up into the Line with my other guy Dalton Risner.

RD3 PK99: Cowboys / CB Nahshon Wright

RD3 PK100: Titans / DB Elijah Molden – very good corner, but was a bit undersized for me.

RD3 PK101: Lions / DB Ifeatu Melifonwu – I hope he is better than his Brother who I thought was interesting when he came out. Not sure he has enough nasty.

RD3 PK102: 49ers / CB Ambry Thomas

RD3 PK103: Rams / LB Ernest Jones

RD3 PK104: Ravens / DB Brandon Stephens

RD3 PK105: Broncos / LB Barron Browning – a guy a though would go off the board earlier. Beast who could be a rushing OLB

Analysis

Extremely happy with this Day 2. Got all my guys. Would have been even happier had DT Barmore dropped to me, because I feel like he can be special. Other than that I’m a bit gutted TE Tommy Tremble didn’t drop into the 4th because he was another guy I would have been interested there. Overall though, to get the OT, CB and G I wanted, be able to double down on OTs I rated highly AND to luck out on Basham – who I feel could be a michael bennett type rusher in a couple of years – is just great considering that I wasn’t able to put in as much research this year. I feel like If I had, there may have been other players that I would have been interested in. But I am happy with what I got, especially because I drafted for need, but at picks where they were very good value in the draft. I don’t feel like I particularly overdrafted on anyone so far this year – which has been a tendency in past years.
