Ok so this soup doesn’t look look amazing…and I will also concede that it is an acquired taste: not everyone likes it. BUT I love it! Give it a try and maybe it will surprise you.
Onions peel, halve and thinly slice. Put in a pan with Oil and start to fry.
Carrots don’t peel but clean and then thinly grate. Then add to the onions.
Sugar / Apple Vinegar use the sugar to caramelise the pan’s contents but don’t let it burn or brown too much. Before it gets to that point splash off with Apple Vinegar.
Lentils add enough Stock to the pan as required for the lentils to cook, add the lentils and leave to boil.
Frankfurters cut and mix in frankfurters at the end to cook (or depending on how much you are cooking make the frankfurters when you’re going to eat the meal)
