Day 2 is here and it is perhaps the one where things could go the most right or wrong. There is a real depth and concentration of talent, which could mean very differing assessments on players from organization to organization.
Like yesterday I am going to give you an overview of who I want to go for and where. One change to yesterday is that I am not going to do a pick by pick because it will go faster.

Seattle Seahawks Projection
Day 2 for the Seahawks will involve trading down in Round 2. I think that they will also pick up a receiver or 2 in Round 3 and maybe a TE. OL might also be something to look at there.
Day 2 Projection
On day 2 my picks are going to be a bit more fluid and I am going to leave myself room to play depending on who falls around me. One thing that is set for me is that my first pick is aimed at Adam Trautman [TE]. I also want to pick up 2-3 O Linemen, ideally Hunt [T/G], Peart [T] and Harris [C].
A player who I am aiming for in the 3rd round is Antonio Gandy-Golden [WR] for the outside and a running back in Zack Moss [RB], although I could already go for him in the 2nd.
A player who I could imagine dropping is Laviska Shenault [WR] and I could target him in the 3rd.
OPEN THREAD
00:03 // 1 hour until the start of Day 2, let’s get the ball rolling.
1:00 // and off we go!
1:36 // PICK 2.39 – with the 39th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Adam Trautman [TE]. With Dugger going faster than expected I go for the guy who I had planned in here from the get go so as not to miss out.
1:45 // with the same pick in real life the Dolphins select Robert Hunt, who I was going to take next, a bit gutted because I could have picked him up there.
2:06 // PICK 2.44 – with the 44th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select AJ Epenesa [DE]. I think that he can be a really solid player on my defensive front, with Hunt off the board I take the best available.
2:10 // PICK 2.45 – with the 45th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Zack Moss [RB]. It’s so tempting to go Dobbins, but if it means missing out on Moss I might regret it. I stick to my pre-draft process and get my RB1.
3:40 // PICK 3.65 – with the 65th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Antonio Gibson [WR/RB]. Elite WR/RB hybrid who is a special teams ace. I think I can wait for my outside guy in Gandy Golden for a bit.
3:44 // Well that was lucky with Antonio Gibson going 1 pick after me to the Redskins in real life.
3:53 // PICK 3.69 – with the 69th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Amik Robertson [DB]. With Ashtyn Davis just going off the board I am not taking a risk and waiting on Robertson.
4:00 // PICK 3.71 – with the 71st pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Matt Peart [T]. There are some O Line guys going again now so I’m not going to miss on Peart as my swing tackle for 2020.
4:17 // PICK 3.76 – with the 76th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Antonio Gandy-Golden [WR]. I’ve waited long enough, not going to chance it any further. I go and get my outside WR.
5:08 // PICK 3.91 – with the 91st pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Nick Harris [C]. A couple of Centers have already gone off the board in this round so I want to lock down an exciting Center prospect.
5:44 // Noooooooo. I was so sure that Tanner Muse [LB/S] would drop to round 4 that I didn’t think to select him in the 3rd (where I originally had him). The Raiders take him at 3.100.
6:03 // And that’s a wrap. see you tomorrow.
